London Calling...
After three busy months getting settled in at Red Door Central, I decided it was time to take a little break. Next week from Monday to Friday I will be darn sarf treading the streets of London Town. Before packing my bags and moving to Scotland, I used to live in the Big Smoke, I will therefore be catching up with some friendly faces and visiting a few old haunts.
I do like a good recommendation. The lovely Miss Verity Keniger has suggested that I add the Watercolour Exhibition at Tate Britain to my list of activities. What would you recommend? I absolutely love visiting new places, have you discovered any little gems recently? Please help me fill up my trip! You can either comment here on the blog or drop me an email - rachel@edinburghart.com.
I look forward to reading your suggestions. Thank you.x

I love that Beatles song...reminds me of the film 'The Parent Trap' (the more recent one).
You have probably already been here but I was going to suggest to go to Brick Lane and go to 'Absolute Vintage'. I have only been to Brick Lane once and have much more to discover.
Something on a different note...I would go the Science Museum or British Museum. I am in need of trip to London. I used to live in St. Albans, which is North of London. If your into antiques and quirky shops and I would down George street in St. Albans. I miss it there.

Back in my student days I spent some time living on Cheshire Street (just off Brick Lane). I lived above the shop that is painted orange and I worked there at weekends. Great little place! I can't help feeling a little sad about how much Brick Lane has changed since the fat chain stores took over Spitalfields.
I've never ventured up to St.Albans but I hear good things - thanks Anna.
Pick Me Up looks great - thanks Lizzy.
And thank you for the advice Allistair, I'll tighten my purse strings.
I'll report back on my return.x

The Enchanted Palace at Kensington Palace is gorgeous - various designers and artists have taken over part of the building. It was fab!
