Hurrah! Now we are officially wearing British Summer Time (it's still raining but we will glide over that) and 2010 is offering us a fairly early Easter. Surely we must devote the first run of light evenings to musing over a 6 pack of freshly boiled eggs a tray of paint pots. After wondering around last night for inspiration, Franc Grom popped up on the screen and wrecked the curve with his devotion, precision and beautifully crafted egg shells. It is hard to believe these delicate beauties have been hand drilled thousands of times by the Slovianina artist - without a chip in sight. To be fair though, he is creating egg art all year round, not like the rest of us hearty anual regulars, still... it would cut a dash on Arthur's Seat this Sunday... anyone got a spare dremmel?

Its refreshing when you stumble upon something that combines good design with a green message and nothing says that more than these amazing postcardens. Brought to you by London based A Studio for Design, this giftcard also transforms itself into mini living garden. Just the surprise that we are after! Check them out right here.

This week has seen a pile of goodies arrive at The Red Door which means we owe a big Thank You to our trusty posties for keeping everything in tip top shape. Yesterday we opened a lovely parcel from Lucky Bird which housed some stunning foiled screenprints (similar to the one above) and a huge bundle of gift tags to keep us going. Whoever manages to take those home is one Lucky Bird indeed!

Putting a smile on our faces today are these practical and stylish field notebooks by Paul Farrell which arrived in store yesterday. At £7 each, we say 'Yes Please'!

We are still in mourning for the death of polaroid as we knew it (fingers crossed we see it in its new form soon). In the mean time, hopefully this sweet ceramic reference from Yellow Owl will cheer you right up.

The super talented Illustrator Gemma Correll has just returned from a visit to the US, where she created this beautiful window display (see below) for San Francisco based publishers Little Otsu. It's such a delight and being big fans of both we just had to shout about it.......

After the success of her recent Stacation Exhibition, the very lovely and talented Hanna Melin has transformed some of her collectible characters into the most unique accessories. Ice Cream Lady and Banana Man are all dressed up and raring to go on a fancy dress parade across your apparel! Hanna has packaged the both the brooches and Ice Cream necklaces up with all the TLC you'd expect from a Craft loving Artist and at only £4 per badge and £14 per necklace, the price is pretty tasty too.
