Some of the members of one of our favourite Scottish bands, Found have been hard at work installing their latest project Cybraphon, an emotional robot band contained in an antique wardrobe at the Inspace gallery, Crichton Street, Edinburgh EH8 9AB, and will be unveiled as part of the Edinburgh arts Festival on 5 August. It looks and sounds amazing, so for a truely inspirational experience check it out for yourselves!

We are pretty much in love with Flight of the Conchords here at The Red Door and like nothing better than to see some wonderful tour posters to accompany their unique talents. Above are two of my favourites - the top one is available from the Patent Pending website (via grain edit) and the second directly from the Flight of the Conchords shop. Both would be a lovely edition to any wall!

Here at the gallery cups of tea are always flowing (hopefully with a chocolate biscuit to accompany!) So how appropriate are Emma Ferguson's beautiful brooches and necklaces. With a new order just in stock there are lots of embroidered pieces to choose from.

Here at The Red Door we are busy bunnies getting our selves filled in time for the festive month that is August. Tents are going up and venues are being spring cleaned which means Edinburgh is in the beginnings of its August festival buzz. Above are a few photos of our shelves at the moment with more arriving each day - we have no idea where all the wonderful goodies are going to fit. Wish us luck!

Back in stock are the ace Sarah McNeil birdie brooches. Hurry whilst they are still available.

With the newest member of The Red Door, Charlie being just two months old, we can't help but turn our heads at super cute baby grows. Recently spied are these beauties from British icon Paul Smith. Your wee button will look as cute as ever in these, although at £29 each, you may need to buy a lotto ticket too!

The Red Door Gallery is always keen to see new work and great products from emerging and established artists and designers who are exploring fresh and contemporary styles and ideas. A recent wonderful find is London based illustrator Ros Shiers. Ros mixes a passion for all things decorative and beautiful with a love of strong, bold, graphic illustration. Her intricate illustrations are influenced by a love of pattern and detail, with inspirations from the circus and the dressing up box, combining femme fatales with a love of natural imagery, from birds, butterflies and flowers to skeletons and insects. The 'iheartRS' collection of must have items appeal to fashion and interior fans alike.
Tote bags and prints in store now.

Our jars are brimming again with new Soop rings. Their City Farm and Enchanted Forest collections allow you to create your very own landscape across your hands. Create with chickens, goats, pigs, cows, sheep, trees, toadstools, horses, cats, dogs, rabbits, deer, squirrels and mr fox.

Good old Threadless have reprinted these ace tees in tribute to late and great Michael Jackson. First up is 'Eating Brains, Throwing Shapes' a zombie tribute to thriller with step by step instructions for mastering the all time classic Thriller video. The other beauty is 'Beat It' which pretty much sums up the tee. Grab one of these whilst you still can. They may well be collectors items one day. R.I.P Michael.

Edinburgh has been full of festival goers laden with packs, welly's and tents on route to this weekends T in the Park. This years line up makes for a pretty darn good time with acts such as Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Edwyn Collins, Kings of Leon, Lilly Allen and of course everyone's favourite Blur. All we need now are some temporary staff to cover the shop for the weekend and we could all be there to join in this festivities. All I have left to say is...... I am jealous!

With the sun still beaming here in Edinburgh, we have a great selection of printed bags to perfect that summer look. Some new products arrived from custom made today, including this beautiful 'wallpaper' across the body bag which we just love!

We officially hit 31 degrees here on Thursday, and for those who know Edinburgh, that is a pretty big deal. Along with the heat came melted ice creams cones, sweaty socks and of course - tops off. A good friend of The Red Door shot this beauty in the Princess St gardens which pretty much sums things up nicely. Thanks Chante. x

Last week, the lovely Katy of Katy & June was telling us all about her London Strawberry Smoothies... This week has been pretty muggy in the Ole Bonnie Burgh and Katy's suggestion of a refreshing berry treat has become part of my survival strategy.... until this morning... hoping to catch up on some Andy Murray gossip, I gleefully typed his name into the search window, unaware that my previous entry (for strawberries - of course) was still there... low and behold a bizarre tale of Wimbledon strawberry fare popped up... this year, in all the muggy heat, the tennis fans are being fed..... Strawberry Sausages... Katy, please for the sake of all things tennis get down there with your legendary smoothies and Save Our Murray's Fans!
