Even Patti can't quite whip a ...It was amazing. Even Patti can't quite whip a middle class Edinburgh audience into a frenzy, but it was a wondrous night. Some Patti songs, much Ginsberg read with great passion by Patti and accompanied with terrific sensitivity by Philip Glass - who played a superb sequence of three solo pieces for piano - and a surprise bonus of three RLS poems from A Child's garden of Verses, read exquisitely. And the charm wound up with a mighty rendition of Footnote to Howl. Still smiling, still high.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
